What a treat, to come across Legends of the Dark Crystal #1 by accident in a comic book store in Salt Lake City. I, like many of my generation, hold Jim Henson’s work very dear, and this graphic novel was delightfully faithful to his artistic style and the spirit of his films. The Dark Crystal is one of the more obscure ones, and the mysterious fantasy world in which it’s set is marvelously fleshed out in this graphic novel. You’ve done an impressive job adding history and culture to a story that left a lot of questions unanswered. Five stars, and I look forward to the next installment.
