Whew, another huge roundup of names means another graphic novel review! Fables: 1001 Nights of Snowfall was a pretty awesome way to pass my evening, even though I haven’t read any other Fables trades or issues. I’m partial to books that use a multitude of art styles, and this is clearly one of those–the variety of beautiful visuals in this book is like a really fantastic eye buffet, and yet all the styles seem perfectly suited to the twisted-up folklore that makes Fables so appealing. This would make a really great read-aloud (in adult company only, though), after a big tasty dinner or in front of a crackling fire or on a snowy evening with mugs of hot chocolate. You’ve all meshed your talents together into this timeless, sumptuous, sometimes erotic set of tales, and it’s totally engrossing and lovely. Well done, five stars!
